Road safety coordinator
The road safety coordinator is a sergeant in the module motard et coordination who has various responsibilities in respect to road safety, including issues related to traffic.
Some of the coordinators duties include:
- Representing the SPVM on various external working committees This involves planning major road work, studies of reserved traffic lanes and facilitating the application of the Highway Safety Code
- Verifying traffic signalling systems and the impact on traffic when approaching major road construction areas to ensure the safety of those using the roads
- Analyzing traffic to make recommendations when there are recurring local police station complaints and taking part in the analysis of intersections with local traffic committees
