The mounted patrol officers are experts in police operations involving horse units. Each day, they actively support the local stations; they patrol, respond to calls and offer their collaboration when this can help during an event. Mounted patrol officers provide services such as ensuring police visibility, both for prevention and containment in places that are otherwise difficult to access by vehicle. This also allows for problem situations to be resolved that are specific to parks, bike paths and green spaces.

In addition, to ensure that order is maintained at specific events that take place in the area, these officers are prepared to help out at demonstrations, celebrations, popular events or other crowd control situations.

The presence of mounted patrol officers can always be counted on during social or cultural events to ensure the safety of the public and to interact with them.
