The media relations officer is the first-level spokesperson for the SPVM. On a daily basis, this officer patrols theMontréalIslandarea and arrives quickly to the various incident locations in order to collect and analyze relevant information. Therefore, this officer is able to respond to overall media requests that require factual information related to SPVM police events. At certain events when required, the officer sets up a media perimeter and is a spokesperson and resource person for journalists on site.

A media relations officer is always available, 24 hours/day, 7 days a week.
