Melissa is engaged on SPVM’s social media

The SPVM is proud to introduce some of its employees who achieved significant accomplishments and taken some remarkable actions. They are passionate about their work and committed to the wellbeing and safety of Montrealers.

Melissa, Communication Specialist - Social Media, has experience with the 911 emergency centre. One evening, she spent several hours on Facebook, chatting with someone who had posted threats and suicidal comments. During their conversation, Melissa gained the man’s trust and obtained some key information. She was then able to reach out to the various intervention units involved to ensure the man would be located and taken care of.
