Operation Vigilance

Operation Vigilance involves deploying an increased, coordinated police presence in the immediate vicinity of a collision for a period of three days. Operation vigilance is initiated based on certain criteria following a serious or fatal collision on the territory served by the SPVM. The targeted offence is directly linked to the collision that has occurred in the preceding days. Motorcycle officers, traffic and intervention officers in the region concerned and officers from the police station of the neighbourhood where the collision has occurred are solicited for this operation.
