Our goals

The team at PDQ 49 works to maintain security in its territory, in compliance with the SPVM's global priorities. To this end, the team has established these objectives :

Anchor the police service in its community

Partnership: 

• Develop an efficient complementary partnership for urban security.
• Support mutual commitment: citizen-police.
• Develop a culture of knowing the territory and the residents who live there.
• Make use of this culture by anchoring it in the patrollers’ daily activities.

Uphold public safety

Crime:

• Recognize environments and situations that are precursive to problems.
• Act on these environments and situations immediately when they arise.

Sense of security:

• Understand the residents’ realities with regard to their sense of security.
• Deploy local strategies to improve the public’s sense of security.

Road safety:

• Develop joint actions to promote safe traffic behaviour.
