Our goals
The team at PDQ 48 works to maintain security in its territory, in compliance with the SPVM’s global priorities. To this end, the team has established these objectives :
A police service in its community
- Continue to pursue mental health intervention expertise operations, launched in 2011, by consolidating PDQ48’s mental health intervention team and establishing appropriate, effective ties with partners.
- Make sure every police officer has solid knowledge of their territory, the population they serve (needs, expectations, issues) and the resources available to them.
Road safety
- Improve the road safety record, reducing the number of fatal and injury accidents by applying the "3E" model (Education, Engineering, Enforcement).
Crime
- Improve the residents’ security and quality of life by quickly and effectively taking control of:
- Problems associated with violent crime (crimes against the person, street-gang crime, assaults, robberies, domestic violence, use of firearms).
- Problems associated with the possession, trafficking and production of narcotics.
