Our goals

The team at PDQ 10 is making every effort to provide a safe environment for the residents of Bordeaux-Cartierville, in compliance with the strategic orientations of the SPVM. To this end, the following objectives have been set :

Step up cooperative actions, strengthen ties and continue bridge-building activities with the community:

  • Participate in cooperative meetings and activities with our institutional, community and private partners, especially with regard to the most underprivileged sectors and vulnerable clients.
  • Hold meetings and discussions with newcomers and members of the different cultural and religious communities.
  • Take part in positive moments in our community and pursue our involvement in projects that develop bonds of trust with youth.

Strengthen our fight against crime:

  • Give youth and their parents the tools to deal with different types of crime (cybercrime, drugs, alcohol, misdemeanours, bullying, taxing, relationship violence and street gang membership).
  • Continue to take action against street gangs.
  • Increase police presence in the Marché Central sector.
  • Work with other SPVM units and our local partners to fight crime.

Improve the road safety record:

  • Provide increased visibility around schools.
  • Hold prevention activities for target client groups on different topics (Highway Safety Code, drinking and driving, pedestrian safety, safe travel within the city, etc.).
