Our goals
The team at PDQ 10 is making every effort to provide a safe environment for the residents of Bordeaux-Cartierville, in compliance with the strategic orientations of the SPVM. To this end, the following objectives have been set :
Step up cooperative actions, strengthen ties and continue bridge-building activities with the community:
- Continue to develop functional partnerships to improve our interventions in relation to complex realities such as mental health, domestic violence and senior abuse.
- Participate in cooperative meetings and activities with our institutional, community and private partners, especially with regard to the most underprivileged sectors and vulnerable clients.
- Hold meetings and discussions with newcomers and members of the different cultural and religious communities.
- Take part in positive moments in our community and pursue our involvement in projects that develop bonds of trust with youth.
Strengthen our fight against crime:
- Give youth and their parents the tools to deal with different types of crime (cybercrime, drugs, alcohol, misdemeanours, bullying, taxing, relationship violence and street gang membership).
- Continue to take action against street gangs.
- Increase police presence in the Marché Central sector.
- Work with other SPVM units and our local partners to fight crime.
Improve the road safety record:
- Carry out speed control operations in target locations.
- Carry out control operations for impaired drivers.
- Provide increased visibility around schools.
- Hold prevention activities for target client groups on different topics (Highway Safety Code, drinking and driving, pedestrian safety, safe travel within the city, etc.).
- Continue to offer personalized handling of traffic problems reported by residents.
