A new application to fight against bike theft

Montreal cyclists can now protect their bikes by registering them on Garage 529, the best bike theft prevention platform available today. Since its creation in 2013, Garage 529 has been adopted by dozens of municipalities, businesses, institutions and police forces across North America. The SPVM is the first police force in Quebec to join Garage 529.

Quick and easy 3-step registration. It only takes a few minutes to register a bike and protect it against theft.

1. Create a free account on spvm.qc.ca/garage529
2. Register your bike by adding photos and basic information: serial number, make and model
3. It is recommended to put the Garage 529 sticker on the bike. This inviolable sticker carries a unique identification number which strongly dissuades potential thieves.
