EILP investigators are seeking potential victims of Sulyvan Dignard

Investigators from the Équipe intégrée de lutte contre le proxénétisme of the SPVM's Section de l'exploitation sexuelle are looking to identify potential victims of Sulyvan Dignard, who appeared on May 15, 2019 on charges of trafficking a person under age 18, procuring under the age of 18, assault and withholding of documents related to human trafficking.

Sulyvan Dignard was subject to a pan-Canadian arrest warrant and was arrested in Victoria, British Columbia on May 9, 2019. The investigation showed that there could be more victims in Montréal as well as across Canada.

Anyone who may have been a victim or knows a potential victim of Sulyvan Dignard is asked to visit his neighbourhood police station or to dial 9-1-1 to file an official complaint or make a statement.

The Équipe intégrée de lutte contre le proxénétisme is a joint investigation unit of police forces working together to fight networks involved in the procurement and human trafficking for sexual exploitation at the interregional, interprovincial and international levels. The Direction des enquêtes criminelles of the Sûreté du Québec coordinates the EILP and the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal ensures its tactical operation. The squad brings together investigators from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Service de police de la Ville de Québec, Service de police de la Ville de Laval, Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau and Service de police de l’agglomération de Longueuil.
