Procurement: the EILP seeks to locate David Maignan

Montréal, July 4, 2018. – Investigators from the Équipe intégrée de lutte contre le proxénétisme (EILP) is actively seeking David Maignan, also known as Lingo, on a Canada-wide arrest warrant. He is currently wanted in connection with a case of procurement, but we believe there may be other victims involved.

David Maignan is facing charges of procurement of a person under the age of 18, advertising sexual services and receiving a material benefit derived from sexual services.

David Maignan is 18 years of age. He has a dark complexion, stands 1,86 m (6' 1'') and weighs 72 kg (160 lb). He speaks French and English. He is believed to visit apartments put up for rent by individuals. He may be in Montréal or in Western Canada.

If you think you have seen David Maignan, do not intervene. Contact 911 immediately. The suspect is considered violent and possibly armed.

Anyone with information that could help locate the suspect can go to their Neighbourhood Police Station, call 911 or contact Info-Crime Montréal at 514 393-1133 or online. The information will be treated anonymously and confidentially.

The Équipe intégrée de lutte contre le proxénétisme is a joint investigation unit of police forces working together to fight networks involved in the procurement and human trafficking for sexual exploitation at the interregional, interprovincial and international levels. The Direction des enquêtes criminelles of the Sûreté du Québec coordinates the EILP and the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal ensures its tactical operation. The squad brings together investigators from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Service de police de la Ville de Québec, Service de police de la Ville de Laval, Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau and Service de police de l’agglomération de Longueuil.
