Certificate of good conduct or judicial record check

The service for individuals is offered to residents of Montréal or at the request of Montréal employers that do not have an agreement protocol with the SPVM.

Our office hours are  Tuesday to Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The service counter is also closed on public holiday.

You will need to bring with you:

2 pieces of valid ID, including at least one with a photograph and one with a current address. (Unless a current address appears on one of the ID cards, proof of residency will be required.)

The proof of residency must be one of the following documents:

  • Photocopy of a lease agreement
  • Copy of an invoice or statement of account from a telephone, electricity or cable company, or a school or municipal tax bill bearing the name and address of the individual

The fee is $105, payable in cash or by credit or debit card. 

Positions located outside of Canada

Please note that, according to rules set by the RCMP, vulnerable sector checks can only be performed for positions located within Canada. Police agencies are not authorized to perform vulnerable sector checks for positions located outside of Canada. This rule applies even if the person will be working for a Canadian organization.
